Short-Term Flexural Stiffness Prediction of CFRP Bars Reinforced Coral Concrete Beams

FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) Bar reinforced coral concrete beam is a new type of structural member that has been used more and widely in marine engineering recent years. In order to study predict the flexural performance CFRP beams, rigidity, crack morphology failure mode were studied detail. The results show under condition similar reinforcement ratio, rigidity significantly lower than ordinary beam. Increasing cross-section ratio within certain range can increase bending stiffness test or reduce deflection, but strength utilization rate greatly reduced. short-term calculated by existing standard formula obviously higher. This paper proposes modified for introducing strain inhomogeneity coefficient (ψ) bars considers relative slip between beams bars. was verified with results, it proved good consistency results.
